Would You Love Me?

Would You Love Me?

If I spoke but said nothing at all, would you hear me?

My silent words like subliminal messages

altering you forever.

If the warmth of my lips caressed yours would you feel it?

Every caress, every breath giving you life,

an endless need to take deeper breaths.

If the tenderness of my skin was to sweep across yours

like a warm soothing breeze on a summer day,

Would you sense it?

If your desire for me

was like a deep sobbing

from the very center of your soul,

Would you love me?

Great poem and I agree with E.O.R. that last stanza is earth shattering!! Loved it!

The last stanza is so emotionally overwhelming and deep. I love this. You have great talent!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
