Wretched--A true Story

The unloved boy

Tantrums, crying, misfit
 Pain, sorrow, and despair

A few years later
Anger, hatred, and drugs
Not to mention the thugs

As he`s crying out
he joins the wrong crowd

He then meets mr.manely
Part of the manson family

He has`nt a dime but
sure knows crime as
He enters his prime

Pain, sorrow, and despair
Is surely inthe air!

A few years later
The unloved boy is
Now a unloved man

A few years later
The unloved man meets
A man of God! a man of love

Love beckons wretched to come
Come he does, and love begets love

Pain, sorrow, and despair
Becomes faith, love and hope

Pain leaves no stain
Sorrow is not for tomorrow
And despair is not in the air

Finally the name wretched is returned
And redeemed to... Richard

Very storylike. I lked to metamophosis from what was to what is now, and the hopes of what is to come. I found it somewhat inspirational. Write on.

I see we do have the same style of writing. A very nice way to introduce the reader to your past and now your promising future. I like what I read and will read some more.

WOw that was truely an excellent poem. I like your change from sorrow to something better. I also love the way you word what you wrote. Its like you can truely understand what he went through. Excellent job.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
