    Yesterday's 2morrow

    Yesterday’s Tomorrow

    Yesterday who could’ve known?
That today I’d be all alone
For yesterday promised love for tomorrow
Why was it replaced with grief and sorrow?

Cause yesterday I had a love to call my own
But today all that love is gone
In yesterday I felt no grief or sorrow
Will today bring back yesterday’s tomorrow

    Yesterday here upon my face
Were two sweet lips that have left their trace
Those two lips brought kisses I treasure
But today they give some other lips pleasure

Cause yesterday I had a love to cherish
But today that love has now perished
And today I feel as though love is lost
Will tomorrow become the day to spare me the cost?

I enjoyed reading this poem, so much feeling and intensity...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
