    You promised (for Jordan G.)

    You wake up everyday
    Half asleep
    Half in dismay
    You can't stand the pain
    Nothing helps

You wonder how could this happen to me
Where could I have gone so wrong
    You look at your day
And wish it was your last

    You tell your friends
    You hate your life
    You make them cry
    When you want to die

    I feel so responsible
    I led you there
If only I knew how to help
    maybe I couldve saved you
If only you didnt have to try and die that night

This world wasnt made for you
    You think no one cares
    You say its cruel
    That its no fair

    Jordan please
    Dont give up just yet
Let me lend you a hand
    And please dont forget
    Your never alone
    In this hateful land

    I'll catch your tears
    as they drop
    I'll hug you tight
    and tell you to fight

    The night you told me..
    you were ready to die
I never cried so hard in my life
    I took a knife
and was ready to die with you

You can't stand it no more
    Your crying
Telling me you can't go on
    Im crying trying to help

In a split second the line goes blank
Im crying more than you could think
    Im screaming your name
    Im praying to god
    Hoping your okay.

    Im at your grave
    It's 2006
It says loved son and loved friend
I wonder everyday if I couldve saved you

    My life isn't the same
    I still remember you
    I always will
    I cry everyday
    its been a few years

    You meant everything to me
    You were my dearest friend..
    why'd you leave me..
    you promised...

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
