You Were

You Were

Never had it better

Don’t leave

Don’t stop

Keep the happiness coming

Your everything positive

Let’s stop in the park

For a conversation

For a connection

Just keep doing this

Whatever it is

Your amused

Having a good time

I’m completely taken away

I’ve come in

I wasn’t invited

You let me share time

Until I stopped looking at time

Don’t

The touch of a memory

Such a cold way to fall asleep

You’re in your own element

In your own happiness

Why bother

I don’t want to take you away from your world

There’s so much to go around

So odd

But I still loved the time we shared

When you finally showed your self

You were walking out of my life

You went to stop

Doing crazy things

With me

Things that made you see

Made you feel

Trying to show you a good time

Instead you saw fear

All the time

Hoping you would get stronger

You walked away instead

Left smiling under blood shot eyes

I miss you

And at the same time

Wish I didn’t

Time to return

To my Dream land

As you once put it

Kisses

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
