    Not yet

I reached my hand out to you in friendship
and you took it without hesitation.
You inspired me to be the best I could be
and showed me what true beauty really was.
You gave me the nourishment I needed
to grow and thrive like never before.
You pulled me in allowing me to get close
and now you're pushing me away.
I tried to be the kind of friend you wanted
but somewhere along the road I stumbled
and couldn't keep up with all your rules.
I have no choice but to give you your space
and walk away without looking back.
I know in time we'll be back on the same road
    heading in the same direction.
This is not good-bye, it's take care
until we see each other again.
