    Poem Commentary

    This was just one of the poems I wrote after my brother, who believed in Jesus since he was a just child, committed suicide.

    He missed his children so much and had not seen them in over ten years.

    I believe he is in heaven and that God knew he suffered too long here on earth, so he is at home now.

    He was a song writer and a musician. I will soon post one of his works here that he wrote when he was a teenager, about dying and going to heaven.

    He saw the human heart in everyone he met. No more beautiful soul have I ever chanced to meet.

    You have gone beyond my vision
    But still I see your face
    You left without a warning
    Only memories leave your trace

    My mind  can find no meaning
    In your leaving the way you did
    What you left has fallen though my tears
    As I feel the pain you hid

    When we were young you comforted me
    You were my savior - my best friend
    Now I look up and your not here
    We've no time left to spend

    If only you could have shared your sorrow
    I'd have found some way to help you through
    I am sorry I did not hear in your silence
    The burden of pain hidden deep within you

    Hear me now as I call your name
    I will cry until I die too
    I will never forget you my brother
    When you left my heart went with you

    Very moving and so sad. The last two lines of the second stanza tongue tied me but did not take away form the meaning of this emotional poem. Very well done.
