YOUNG BROTHER, YOU SLEEP?

Poem Commentary

To me, as fashion continues our men are in compliance with today's fashion for the "CONFIDENT"man.

Coming up, pink has always been for girls.  Men are wearing 2 or more holes on both ears.  Tight shirts and I sorry but my MAN'S pants should not be tighter then MINE.

Men you can be confident without looking feminine.  Society is WRONG because I will question any man's authencity if he wears 2 earrings and a tight pink shirt.

YOUNG BROTHER, YOU SLEEP?

What would make a brother think
that a sister wants a man in pink
Can you tell me what's happening
I saw a man with 2 earrings
I know you had a chance to glance
Young brothers in hip hugging skinny pants

On this issue, I must speak
Young Brothers, YOU SLEEP?

Who started with this fashion crave
I can bet, but anyway
My brothers you don't compromise
Why would your mind even occupy
Don't you think that deep within
It's a sin?

I not here to judge
For ALL my brothers I got love
but pink is pink
and blue is blue
Don't let the devil fool with you

Whatever genre you choose
BE TRUE

But it's not up to society
What's to be don't have to be
It's for young brothers to take a stand
to decide what defines the man

Yes, to each it's own individuality
but some sisters needs masculinity

I feela you sister. If it's not too tight, it's saggin. I'm like "Hold up! That's prison bait right there!". Well, Hopefully with the right exposure they'll grow out of these fads and dress more normally.

Normal is to the individual but Fads sometimes brings out the ignorance in our youth... when they wear anything because it is so call hot but they won't put on a tie to get a job...

Yes you do, but being true to yourself is not living a FAD... Your style has to be your own... Fashion will have the young ones looking like idiots with there so call trendy clothes... What use to be out of order is the hottest happening... Like the skull that represents death use to be fashion for certain people that had a certain image now it's in for everyone... WHO SAID?? What ever color it is, it still represents death... Thanks for your comment... Maybe I'm old school??

Hmmm. This one is very current. I agree with you totally. First of all...it is well written. I don't do pink or rock earrings. As you can see I wear a beard...the manliest of fashion accessories lol. I am completely comfortable with myself...but there are certain things that need to be left as specifically for the different sexes. Thanks for reminding those who may have forgotten.

I am one that believes to be true to who you are. Wearing pink pink does not define your masculinity no more then muscles could define your strength. Be true to the gender. Be true to the person that individuality defines their inner being and purpose. Being proud of who you are doesn't warrant change but acceptance.

My strong sista' another good poem. But I must say that if a brother is sure of his masculinity, and it looks good, there nothing wrong with pink. Now the skin tight can't do that one!

Are you a PINK MAN Deacon? Whatever is clever, that's my motto, with CLEVER being the key word. Thanks again for checking in.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
