    Your Face in My Dreams

The nights are as quiet as the depth of space
My mind dreams on as I imagine your face

Rugged or smooth to the touch I wonder
It matters not for my heart beats like thunder

The sound of your voice is always warm and clear
I treasure the echoes and hold them so near

What comes from inside, down deep in your heart
Keeps my love growing while we are apart

No distance thus far has deterred our desires
One day when we kiss no one will put out the fires

Lasting and true through every endeavor
We make life’s journey together forever

Each day through the daily routine of our lives
The littlest things keep our days from the strife’s

    Stronger together love always survives
Believe in each other as each day comes alive

Continuing on through each passing day
We hold tight the bond that has brought us this way

Ever kindling the fire within us each day
Assuring through time that our love it will stay

The things we learn and discovered anew
Build stronger and closer between me and you

Never once will you hunger for love that’s not there
Each part of my heart and soul will I share

A part of me now, you have entwined in my soul
Wrapped with the warmth of desire be told

So when the night becomes quiet and I imagine your face
The love that you show me encompasses that place

yep you have skills, id love to see what you would do with the quatrain style and form..from the glimps of your strength in your line structure if you like rhyming over blank verse(either way this poem shows you can hit the ball out of the park with ease andrew

I really liked The Atmosphere I went into when reading this poem...I enjoyed it alott..I can always use an escape...O.o

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
