    Your Face In My Hands

Place your face in my hands and give me this chance to tell you how I feel I want you to hear the good, bad, and ugly cry of my heart I know I blast the past in your face only thinking about my feelings and not yours not realizing that what you’ve done hurt you just as much as it hurt me I care about the matters of your heart and I know you care about mine things do happen between two hearts that can tear them apart but if the love we say we have for each other is true then it will mend the two together again look I know you’re not as poetic as I but this is how I express me this is how I can be raw with my emotions yes I might have been that other woman and it was a hard decision to make if I should stay or leave but I chose to stay because the love I felt for you was genuine it hurt to know that someone else was calling you their man and that I couldn’t have all of you but the happy times spent was ever so sweet things were said and done that were childish and hurtful they were said but I didn’t mean them I’m sorry for my actions and ask that you forgive me it’s hard to walk away from someone that you love waking up to your good morning texts laying down to your good nights holding me tight caressing my body taking walks going out to eat wiping away my tears holding my hand but all those things seem as if they are now in vain because you have chosen to walk away from it all not willing to be patient with my heart and to make a fresh start all I want is for us to finally put the past behind us and move forward I hope that you can find it in your heart and mind to pick up where we were with Your Face in My Hands…………….

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
