I Praise My Friends Loudly

Dear Friends,

The response to my poem, "I Praise The Morning Loudly"
has been an overwhelming 80 plus comments within seven days
of posting it, and from the comments, everybody has either
smiled, cried, yelled, screamed, applauded, or praised, along with me,
the beauty in walking through a meadow bear foot at dawn.

And, yes, this was an experience I had had a week earlier, and
since I always carry pencil and journal with me, it was easy to write
so vividly about such majesty and magic as it unfolded before me.

Thank you, Dear Friends, and I will get back to each and every one
of you, though, because of the large number of comments, it may take awhile
to reach all of you, and I will.

Peace and Light,
Dah smile

RE: I Praise My Friends Loudly

Some of my favorite comments from OP's poetic masters on, "I Praise the Morning..", because of how enlightening the comments are for me in understanding my own poetry through the eyes of other poets.

From RHPeat — That opening tercet is just magic to my ears. "Dark's destruction is repaired by a single beam." This one glimpse of joy reduces all sorrow to mere dust. This is glory in the ripeness of a plum. " the sun’s great grin" pure music. Love the G's. And the m's "The mourning doves and mockingbirds hold mouths full of melodies mystical enough to be little gods." Wonderfully done. You feel them, they don't stick out but instead just flow into the context of the writing. Bravo. Mystical gods for sure. Wonderful description of birds. I could watch and listen to them all day. I have a feeder on my deck and this just resounds with the feeling at that feeder. "O him who in the love of Nature holds Communion with her visible forms, she speaks A various language; for his gayer hours She has a voice of gladness, and a smile And eloquence of beauty, and she glides Into his darker musings, with a mild And healing sympathy, that steals away Their sharpness, ere he is aware. " You got me Dah, I'm dredging up my muse and looking at the wonderful white of clouds in the sky, while digging up William Cullen Bryant. When any poet starts doing that to me, I know I've been had by the writer. When a writer's writing can dredge up memories from 20 and 30 years ago; you know you've been drawn into the depth of its words. It's like lighting candles on my spine. Thanx for sharing.

From cousinsoren — Dahlusions invites all to see through his poetic eyes, the beauty, , the serenity and tranquility of early dawn. His music flows smootly as he presents cinematographic sketches of a world coming alive at dawn. His pictures are of extreme beauty. This poem is soothing. My rating for thrilling artistry, impeccable versification and serenity is 10x10.The message is crystal clear that the poet has sublime reasons to sing thus" "I praise the morning loudly/ I praise it loud and clear." He has charmingly presented his reasons for praising.

from NevillePark — Vivaldi Brahms Bach, they all contribute to a nice afternoons listening. Then there's the soothing effect of finely crafted poetry. Like what we have with this beauty. I don't give out 10's much because I question my own assessments sometimes. This is superlative work man. No question of a ten here.

from Jademelissa74 — Such serenity can only be described by those who have really experienced the moment, by those who have smelled the essence of the brand new day...The passion that you often share in pieces like this one, is always raging, is always vivid and full of life. Beautifully arranged. Thank you for sharing the peace your heart resides in.

from Corey1Hillen — You do make that time of day a very special experience. Very Wordsworth and Native American at the same time.

from DancingHawk — incredible write, Dah ... to be greeted with such beauty and appreciation ... is precious sweetness at its finest ... what a pleasure it is to dive into your universe, full of vibration, color and feeling, even in the midst of mourning, mocking and puffiness, lol ... all the facets of life you soak in and rend spiritual, whole and connected ... another masterful weaving ...

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
