Modify the way you rate . . .

Modify the way you rate . . .

I think that each vote should be seperate . . . it's shouldn't be averaged. This way you can spend more time giving an accurate representation of what you think instead of having to decide between .3 and .6 . . .

If anyone agrees, please comment.

Thanks,

Re: Modify the way you rate . . .

Right now I find the rating system unhelpful. If I have a 7 is that one vote? Or is it 2 tens and a 2 from someone who doesn't like my picture?

I agree. For weeks you hold a 9, then poof-in a day-it's a 6-7. This can be very discouraging
not to say, uninspiring, as well.Of course those that brought it low, never leave comments.

This IS the way it should be done. And at least those that do cause points to lower, they can at least leave polite criticism.

Re: Modify the way you rate . . .

This has been something that some of us have been trying to do away with for some time now. There are too many people who find it amusing to destroy someone else s work to either
to make their work look better than it is or to discredit another poet out of spite. Several of us have asked clips numerous times to stop the use of the rating feathers because it is too easy for someone to do damage. I have seen my friends poems go from a 10 on one day all the way down to a 5.5 the next. For those of you who agree please let me know.

The feather system should be eliminated, reason being that those who have been tearing down peoples work will be forced to show their cowardly faces rather than hit and run.If there was such a way for poets that rate others work and post individual scores this would be helpful too.to me the most ideal way to deal with this is to implement a time and user signature stamp every time someone comes in to rate or demolish another poets work. it would show the person being rated exactly who was on their page.

Re: Modify the way you rate . . .

I'm glad you all feel the same way . . . in fact, I've encountered a prime example of such "sabotage".

A user on here called "freestyleTaTa" is in jepoardy of being booted from this site. I believe that his style and delivery are worthy artistic expression. On the main forum, I'm going to post a petition that he not be booted for his content. I have a suspicion that this is the result of such said sabotage.

Please leave a comment as a signature for this petition so that this artist does not suffer . . .

Thank You,
