Re: The Morning Sunset

Her obsidian eyes followed the struggling river of wasted mascara
As it seemed to seep from her face, hitchhiking on tears
Rallying in a puddle, then fighting a path from the driveway to the grass
“See” she thought “even my makeup can’t stand to stay near.”
And looked up, the only hints of light, the grey clouds,
The sick anorexic strands of sky-cotton,
Dissipated,
Revealing the naked sackcloth sky
No stars
“I bet if the sky could leave, it would”
And at times it seemed as if it would.
Almost as if it could.
She cried, she cried a thick India ink of the soul.

And then the sky left.
The stars had snuck out, one by one
Feeling awkward, needing fresh air…
But she looked up now, the sky had gone.
The tree tops of suburbia had a presence now,
A faint, slight glow:
A succulent aura, slick with pinks and yellows,
Like the berry dyes of the Natives.
It grew to a halo, a crown,
A coronation. A new creation was being crowned.

The regality of the moment swayed,
And blue carried the coat-tails of the King.
He had more people to free,
But this blue, the Grand Lover’s eye
Is here.

The Morning Sun...

The morning sun caresses’ my eyes,
Luring me to an early rise,.
The culprit of my dreams demise,
Evaporating the dew which blankets my mind.
Her crimson lipstick leaves the trace,
An impression of her lips embrace,
And without warning, no time to brace,
The sun creeps in to burns my eyes.
And I agonize, as I don my disguise
When living in this world outside my mind
Reality’s cruel sense of humor,
Simply substantiates the rumor
That in this world in which I encumber,
I truly live within my slumber

Morning Glory

Do you wake up wet?
Are you in the morning glory zone?
Setting the wheel of love in motion
I have the not quite awake cuddly potion

I see your eyes, a moment of surprise
A lovers hold, sweet kisses, then we mold
A union through the window of the soul
A nice way to start, no way to stop
Heart to heart, mind to mind
Body to body, morning divine
Hang on to ecstasy
Pearl on the jade stalk deep
The gate is open, gestures increase
Wholeness, consuming, worshipping
Reveling in the morning glory
The fire inside you is charged
by my magnetic battery
Anomourous desire
on the magic field

Re: The Morning Sunset

As I rise in the morning,
The sun lies on my chest
Anemone alliums banksias amaryllis,
Oxidizing me for a smile
Woodpeckers, humming birds, roosters
You hear within a mile

Motions in the clouds move hastily
Smells of salt sprinkle my skin
At the end of the rainbow,
The sun afresh as your day begins.

The morning sunrise

The morning sunrise
Isnt what usually wakes me up
Its the chirping birds
Singing their happy morning songs

The morning sunrise
Is bright across the horizon
Most of which cases
I wear my sunblock and sunglasses when going outside

If I am outside during the summer
When the moon goes to sleep and the sun wakes up
I usually lay on the grass with my bathing suit
Letting the golden rays of sunshine beat down on me

The morning sunrise is delightful in many ways
If there was no morning sunrise, we would be cold
If there was no morning sunrise, we would all wake up late
Thats why I enjoy the beautiful morning sunrise

Re: The Morning Sunrise (corrected by Papa)

We ladies need that first hour of solace:

Her Private Hour

velveteen carpet
beneath her toes
silk kimono
pattern of rose

cool spring breezes
brushing her cheek
morning sun shines
then retreats

satin slippers that sister wore
earrings and necklace
in a box
on the floor

spray of rain water
dousing her hair
aroma of lavender
wafts through air

ruffled handkerchief
tucked in purse
polka dot scarf
gabardine skirt

first morning birdsong
echoes within
rumble of freight train
whistle begins

peach colored lipstick
eye paint of green
full-length looking glass
captivates scene

boar bristle brush
smoothing her tresses
hangers display
hundreds of dresses

perking coffee
aroma bold
cream and sugar
liquid gold
children awaken
descend the staircase
the start of their day
first order is breakfast

her private hour
solace and calm
brand new day,
hers- each dawn

Re: The Morning Sunset

The moon in all its splendor
its wonder and its might
must soon fall and surrendor
to the sun its morning light
How could you after seeing
if only for a glance
think life not by being
but merely happenstance?

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
