    Poem Commentary

This poem was made by my B.G. when he was 11 years old. He dedicated this to his grandpa...

    " War Remembered" by B.Gillap

As we hear the guns shot,

    And the whistles blowing,

That’s how you remember people fighting for us.

    As the cannons are shot,

    And the people are screaming,

That’s how I remember people fighting for us.

    As the leaders yell charge,

And the people are hiding and diving for cover,

That’s how my family remembers people fighting for us.

As we see the soldiers charging,

    And see the soldiers dying,

That’s how we all remember people fighting for us.

    thanks....:)

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
