    A life of love

    I love you now,
    like I loved you then.
    Many years we have shared,
    some good and some bad,
    but all together good.

    We have built a life,
    and had a great kid.
    Till the end of time,
    we will remain best friends.

    I think of you,
    and the day we met
    I can't help but smile
for it was the best day yet.

    Many have said
we wouldn't make it this far,
to all of them without any faith,
    I say to you,
we have a lifetime to share.

Every night I lay my head,
    to rest upon your shoulder
thinking of the life we have shared
    and all the great moments.

    I love you now,
    like I loved you then.
I will continue to love you,
    until the end.

It is wonderful to be in love!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
