A loved one, yet not forgotten

At times when we want to forget,
It's best to remember those who walked by you,
Those who will hold you up,
And hang on to you as tight as they can,
You may never know when thy will ever get a chance to say good bye,
Or the last time you will laugh?
Even if it pains you to let go on that last day,
The loved one will walk with you again,
    Till it's your time,
To join them up in the heaven's.
Just remember they are never really gone,
Till the day they are by you side.

Very evocative piece. We all take things/people for granted as if they'll always be with us. It's only when they're gone that we realize the opportunities we missed.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
