a masquerade

wonder woman never loved herself
so she becomes someone else
she lives a nightmare, chases a dream
and without her makeup, the mirror is a ugly thing.
If she wake up and take a look at herself
she puts on she makeup
Then it's too late to love what she hate
She is now someone else.

Hey wonder woman,
do you know who you are
or why to fulfill someone else's fantasy
you go too far
and fly in the wrong direction
to perch an erection?
Moments you want to hold are just a fling
and it stings when a true friend pulls your wing
That is why the caged bird sing

Are you too proud to cry when you're all cracked up
and yo beak is dry
Or do you ever wonder why the heaven between yo thigh
is hell to tell when men fail and tricks would just die
for a fix as you get seduced and reduced to a bitch?
Though you put up with it

Can you believe that so-called friends are enemies
when you're insecure you turn to these
You put on your makeup, sleep to the beat
don't want to wake up
Turn on radical folks, swallow xtasy and toke on spliffs,
sniffs of white lines of coke, have pipe dreams, do kinky things
with sex fiends and toast as you sip, take a hit and coast on
a trip to fantasy island where you can be whoever you want to be.

Yesterday is covered up with more makeup
cause it's just too shameful
Today you lose yourself when reality erases
your many faces
cause it's just too painful.
