A New Day

A New Day

Headaches, heartaches, hope deferred
All the elements of love disturbed

Anger, confusion, bitterness displyed
These are the signs of joy delayed

Gluttony, insomnia, can't get out of bed
How dreary are these days that one seems to dread

Don't give up, hold on a little longer
Relax, meditate, make your mind a little stronger

Make the best of the day and spend the evening in grace
Drift off to sleep, travel to an unknown place

While you are sleeping, metamorphosis sets in
And when you awake, a new day will begin

A day of happiness, peace, joy and love
Laughter and contentment that can only come from above

The sorrows of yesterday have disappeared....they are dead
Now you can look forward to the greater things ahead

Bigger hopes, better dreams, greater insight, bliss.....a new love
This time, protect your heart and wear your happiness like a tight fitting glove

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
