A New Page

An open book,
empty, to be filled with words,
to fill it with poems and passions,
to fill it with songs from the heart.

The stories I can write,
are restricted to no bounds,
just the freedom of pen and paper,
and an imagination for my use.

Anything I want to write,
here I can set free,
my thoughts, dreams and ideals,
in these pages I will ink.

So once I find a rythym,
the writing's beating heart,
the poetry will begin to flow,
and that is where I'll start.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
