    Poem Commentary

    thank you for your time

    A song without words

Let me tell you the words to a song
I heard on the whispers of the wind
It was a song from long ago, the words so deep within

    The song went................
Once upon a time a man fell so deep in love
    That nothing else mattered.
He ate the fruit of the vine of the tree of love
    And nothing else mattered.

He walked in the cloud that we called love
    And nothing else mattered
The smile he had told every one
    That nothing else mattered

One day he sang a melody
And was met in song by a bird in a tree
    And nothing else mattered

He sat and stared, he dared compare
You to the bird, the effortless flight
Graceful by day, beautiful by night
The way the wings soared above the clouds
Away from the problems that down here seem so loud
And once again he heard that song on the wind
    And nothing else mattered

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
