    —Untitled 1.5—

    Every time that I
    hear your song

    It makes me ask,
    what might have gone wrong.

    I gave you all this
    life could ever live

    I love you more this
    heart could ever give.

    But you left me
    hanging

    Alone in the dark

    And you left me
    dying

    With my lonely
    heart.

    I can remember our
    wonderful days

    I have loved you
    through my own simple ways.

    I said I love you
    with all my heart

    Thinking that we
    could never be apart.

    But I think our love

    Is not meant to be.

    And even though is
    hard for me,

All I have to do is
    to set you free.

    But our memories
    together

    Will always be in my
    heart.

    It will be here
    forever

    Even though were
    apart.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
