    Against Animal Testing

    Heartless hands reach for me.
Trapped in a tiny cage with a lock and no key.
They drag me out against my strife.
Knowing full well they could end my life.
I’m taken into a room that is dark.
One that has left many marks.
They give me a deleterious dose.
It hurts so much, this is it, I suppose.
    I guess it’s my life’s end.
All in truth, it’s a godsend.

liked the poem. It is enough that we test stupidity on ourselves. test the drug addicts, they have no problem with needles and confined spaces.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
