    Almost Eighteen

Almost eighteen out on my own
Two steps back and three steps gone
Never thought this day would come for me
    Mama's greatest fear and
    Daddy's little girl
All grown up leavin for the great big world
    Happenin' so fast
    Time just flew by
Mama and daddy smiling with tears in their eyes
'Cause im almost eighteen out on my own
Two steps back three steps gone
Never thought this day would come for me
    Mama's greatest fear and
    Daddy's little girl
All grown up leavin for the great big world
Now their staring at her driving down the road
    Im finally eighteen

I hope you do not drive to far away from the ones that love you. Eighteen and almost gone, but forever in your families hearts. 10 from me on this beautiful write.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
