America the beautiful, or so she use to be.

America the beautiful, or so she use to be.

America the beautuful, or so she use to be.

Land of the pilgrims pride; I'm glad they won't ever see

Babies thrown in trash cans, abortion on demand,

Oh sweet land of liberty, your house is on the sand.

Our Children wander aimlessly, poisoned by cocaine.

choosinhg to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain

From Sea to shining sea our nation turns away.

From the teaching of God's love

When what we need to do is to pray

We've kept God in our Temples, how callous we have grown

When earth is but his footstool and heaven, his throne.

We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core

Appointing Godless judges, who throw reason out the door.

Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb

But brave enough to kill a baby

Before it leaves it's mother's womb

Do you think that God is not angry

That our land's a moral slum?

How much longer must we wait

    Before God's judgment comes.

How are we to face God, from whom we cannot hide?

What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?

    If we who are his children, will humbly turn and pray;

Seek his holy face, and mend our evil way.

Then God will hear from heaven, and forgive us of our sin.

He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.

But America the beautiful, if you don't then you will see

A sad but holy God, withdraw his hand from thee.

Oh girl isn't that the truth. You know what will be. It ihas been a curse on our nation progressing Leaving out God now is just the beginning. So many abominable characteristics that hinder our nation. In Noahs time we are and those who are blind don't know. Bless you for relaying a message that is true and sure:)

A very necessary message and a well written poem with an excellent rhythm .I pray that the politicians and judges, who make the laws and policies will be people of high virtue and make fair and just laws that will help our nation rise out of its current troubles and get back on the right road.( A nation that worships God)

Thank you so much for you comment. I couldn't agree more. But I am sorry to say, I just don't think times in this land will get any better. The Bible fortells of out future and it just gets worse..We just have to learn to deal with it and stay grounded in our faith and hold on till the end...
