    America's Tears

    Lord, If ever our nation needs prayer
    It is today
    Television screams the news
    Look what the papers have to say
    America is in turmoil
    We don't know what to do
    We hear Praise be to Obama
    But Lord, I praise only you
    Lay Your hand on our nation, Lord
    Take away our fears
    We need a great healing, Lord
    Would you dry America's tears...

    There's children being abused
    There's malice in the air
    Murderers line death row
    Does anybody care
    Our soldiers are being killed
    Our homeless live in the street
    There's someone out there somewhere
    Who has nothing at all to eat
    Lay Your hand on our nation, Lord
    Take away our fears
    We need a great healing, Lord
    Would you dry America's tears...


    Our flag still waves proud
    We are the land of the free
    But at what price is our freedom
    If our nations don't agree
    Lord, we need your healing touch
    Cover us with your grace
    If all eyes would be on YOU
    Everything would fall into place
    Lay Your hand on our nation, Lord
    Take away our fears
    We need a great healing, Lord
    Would you dry America's tears...


    So much hatred in this world
    Lord, we need you now
    I want to make a difference
    If you'll only show me how
    Teach us to love one another, Lord
    To put down our guns and knives
    Dear Lord, I know your wish for us
    Is to live much better lives.
    Lay Your hand on our nation, Lord
    Take away our fears
    We need a great healing, Lord
    Would you dry America's tears

    AMEN....... is all need to say here as ya said it already here... until we are just AMERICAN and not ________+American we are lost... until we go back to that higher being.. GOD... we can not be saved....

    Very true words.There are a lot of bad things going on in this world,but if we all join together,pray and have faith;we can create a better world.Excellent poem.

    America kicked God out? Homos in prayer out? Teach our kids to be gay and abort babies. A billion dollar porn export busibess? MAde any religion fine except Jesus? America is now being judged. And it will get worse soon.
