Angel On The Block!
Angel On The Block!
I came into this world not knowing what lay ahead of me,
My life is in the hands of someone called Mommy and Daddy.
Small, Fragile and delicate, I need tender loving care,
I don't ask for much, a bottle or maybe a teddy bear.
Now my Daddy is gone, and I'm too little to know why?
My Mommy is all alone, and I often see her cry.
She feels she needs someone to help take care of me,
So off she goes spending time, looking for a new Daddy.
I'm almost 2 years old now, learning how to talk,
Watch out adults, I'm the NEW KID ON THE BLOCK!
My hair is golden and my teeth are coming through,
Running/Chasing Butterflies into the sky ever so blue.
My Mommy found someone today that she seems to like alot,
On her wedding finger sat a ring, she says that he bought.
I'm not sure about this new man she brought into our life?
Everyone is trying to talk him out of making her his wife.
Deep dark secrets coming out, but now it's way too late,
My Mommy and this man, have now set a wedding date.
No one speaks up, we move away, our lives set to resume,
Who knew that it was headed for Hell, Violence and Major Doom!
Three months later Mommy leaves, I'm left at home to play,
A bath and then a nap was the plan set for me that day.
STOP! You're hurting me, I don't understand, I can't see,
What I did to make you so mad and make you want to abuse me?
In the hospital there I lay, with my body broken and sore,
Relying on a Respirator since my soul can take no more.
What happened to this person, that made them come to this?
Was I asking for too much, a pat on the butt, a hug a kiss?
The fight is over, it's time to go and collect my angel wings,
No more tears, no more pain, onto Heaven where everyone sings.
To the people I thought I was safe with and out of harms way,
Remember in the Bible when they talked about JUDGEMENT DAY!
"WELCOME TO HEAVEN Angel Baby with the Golden blonde hair,
You're so cute, all the other babies just can't help but stare.
You can't be hurt anymore, you're now as solid as a ROCK."
"That's right, I'm Keegan...THE NEW ANGEL ON THE BLOCK!"
