    Poem Commentary

    The time I wrote this poem I was hurting... And I wished my heart was something else... So I thought why not an apple... If my heart was an apple I could take a knife and cut the bad parts off...

    Apple Heart

    I wish my heart was an Apple,
    So that I could take a knife and cut off my feelings...
    But because of feelings being held inside,
    It'll be nothing left but the skin...
    My heart was so firm once like an apple when you first buy it...
    But it's now soft in the inside like an apple when it gets old...
    "You can cut off feelings", so i've been told...
    If I take a knife right now and cut around my heart,
    I'd be laying here dead from no blood flow...
    What i'm saying is it's not that easy 2 just cut feelings off...
    I've tried 2 cut off the way people make me feel...
    But my heart continues to hurt...
    I wish... I had... An apple heart...
    So that I can cut off my feelings...

    This is a very emotional poem but my advice is take a seed from this apple that was once delicious and beautifully ripe and start brand new in you a person with hope and delight. God Bless BIkemanRJ

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
