apple picker

Picking people from a Crowd
Pick a pretty girl for a game
pretty red cheeks
pretty blue eyes
Pick the pretty blonde.

Pick her up
the apple of your eye
Pick the prettiest apple of the
bough
Pluck her from her home
Pluck her out of the crowd
into your waiting van.

Pinch the hope out of her eyes
with your finger tips
Pick the golden strands
one by one
Purchase pain for the apple you
picked
Pluck the light from her eyes.

The Apple you picked
brown from exposure
dead and inedible

you picked a pretty Apple
and ate the heart.

i liked the way it was written using a bouquet of words that begin with P. i know the subject was very serious and had deeper meaning. reminds me of THE LOVELY BONES. disturbing movie. i really like your style and the way you worded each stanza's flow. goodjob here!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
