awake
warm grey clouds swirl above
as i dance with the red and gold that flutter about
playful slowflakes meet their demise
against the warmth of my tongue
shadows creep and flicker in the mist
in these moments the fear and pain subside
and give way to life
cold deep breaths force themselves
into my lungs
and remind me
that i am awake
as i dance with the red and gold that flutter about
playful slowflakes meet their demise
against the warmth of my tongue
shadows creep and flicker in the mist
in these moments the fear and pain subside
and give way to life
cold deep breaths force themselves
into my lungs
and remind me
that i am awake
