    Away from love

    I wonder why
    you're heart's as cold
    as prison walls on a
    December night, why
I'm alone and away from you
    and you're content
    being there with yourself
    away from me and with
    someone else, with fading hopes
    I can only hope,
you'd be here away from it
    that keeps you cold
    and away from love.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
