Baby Girl
baby girl, i listen as you chat away,just as i do everyday...
its the same as always but yet different now,
the years have passed quickly and your grown somehow..
you have a mind and will of your own that i cannot change,
you talk of how your life your going to rearrange..
my emotions stir inside with hope and yet worry for you,
nothing i can say, nothing i can do,
i accept my RULES are through,
but oh how i want to tell you what, when and who...
we hug as you leave to go back to your own home now,
your new plans nag at me and i wonder, how?
i look over at my husband and smile,
hiding my fear for my grown up "Baby Girl" all the while..
