    Ballad for the Soule

    a man plagued with demons
    lost what he now seeks
    prayed for better days
    he stopped believing
    himself decieving
    it started a craving
    the hole is never filled

    Chorus:
    the young innocence
    so quickly killed
    seeking what he fears
    betrayed by what he feels
    seeking what he feels
    betrayed by his fears

    a man plagued with demons
    trying his deceptions
    pretends its alright
    fake faces distract him
    along with his fights
    he sits all alone
    he waits by his phone
    waiting for the one call
    the one who gave birth
    embedded his demons
    set free with her words
    words that will never come

    Chorus:

    He gets lost inside
    demons he thinks angels
    open him up easily
    only to lock him up
    even more than before

    see his solid stone face
    only cracked by a smile
    he finds his angels
    but all have turned vile
    or is he so afraid
    afraid of love
or is it just feeling it

    Chorus:

    he’s tried but he cant
he needs faith to confront his fears
cause he seeks what he feels
    seeks what he fears
    betrayed by what he feels
    betrayed by what he fears

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
