    Beyond the Veil of Tears

    Beyond the Veil of Tears

    Copyright by Shirley A. Franklin

    It’s a crossing over
    To a whole new place
It is far and vast and away
    It’s a place where there’s no sorrow
And every day is a great getting up day

But wait, it’s also beyond the veil of tears
Far from the place of great fear
It’s beyond the reach of sorrow
It’s way past the veil of tears

It’s out of the reach of sickness
It’s away from the hurting place
    It is always and forever
A place to behold the Savior’s face

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
