    Blind Love

Well there was a time I believed in something called love

it ran through my heart, my soul, my mind

such a foolish man I was to believe in something so blind

for I had seen love when I looked into her eyes

it was her who was blind for in me she saw nothing

not even a single tear I shed

all alone I realized that love is nothing more than a child's fantasy

all I have too show from my quest of love is

my broken heart, my jaded soul, and my diminished mind

now I leave this world with only one thing to say

love that is blind is not always a love that can be shared.

I really rally love this poem, espeicially the third last line!

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
