BROKEN JEWELS

BROKEN JEWELS…in memory of Nadine

The cry of the vast Undone,
Where time grows hazy and distant,
Beckoning all labor to end,
Hastening and groaning for her,
longing for her…
to step from time into the eternal,
in a moment, in the blink of an eye,
discarding the borrowed garments of this world.
Her spirit liberated;
Faith’s Hope arrives.
She’s equal to eternity’s call,
branded with an iron rod from the flames—
The gate to eternity…her spirit’s destiny realized.
No more fungus-spread of fortified confusion,
No bewitchments;
No inflammation.
Earth’s spilled out wares left behind,
She steps into eternity,
Not with hopeless resignation…
But in colorful layers of tapestry,
Woven not from golden ornaments poured out in measure
from the background of earth’s dull squalor.
But with rays of lavish brilliance teemed with
…a new expression;
…a new beauty;
Derived from Broken Jewels in time
Where wisdom’s meaning’s gleaned
And earth is left behind……
