Christmas Candles In The Night

Christmas Candles In The Night

If we would hear the angels's songs
Echo through the midnight skies,
We must put hope where it belongs-
Back into sad and lonely eyes.
If we would feel the joy that fills
This blessed season of the year,
Our love must be so great it spills
From us to all who need it here.

Andf if we hope to learn
The message of the Baby's birth,
Then each of us must take our turn
In making this a better earth.
It's not enough to merely live...
Unless we learn to do it right,
With hearts so full of love, they burn
Like Christmas candles in the night.
