Conflict
Silence invadesThe battlefield of our home
Quiet aftermath
Of forced destruction
The stench of slander
Hanging heavy in the air.
Stinging blows
Of angry words
Delivered by one
More brutal than I
Leaves my prostrate form
Uncaring to rise.
Conflict
Silence invades02-12-2010
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
