Darken Days
Darken days, even darker nights
Hiding upon the morning light
Looking for a safe place to go
Before being thrown into the snow
Memories of brighter days gone past
Fading away ever so fast
Sinking deeper and deeper in
Depression has come and finally set in
Can I pull out, someday I hope so
But right now I do not know
Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
