    Day dreaming at a funeral

It rained (red rain) It drenched the bone.

The earth was dressed and became naked.

    The man was made of
    water.
    The sun is
    water.

The sky took out its braids and its braids were unraveled rivers.

    Death and life were jumbled

    Dough of mud and sun,

    Season of lust and plague.

Standing in the garden of bones
For his funeral, I asked heaven for its lights

    Kites draw and erase circles
    A cliff of foam
    Structures with no weight…
    Dizziness

    There!
I found me in your cry,
    In my tears.

    Two in one
    One in all
    All in nothing
All in nothing. Nothing in all.

    Everything is erased

    .I watch clarity.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
