    Death

I was enslaved to you the day I was born.
Although I did not know you then, you were there.
You have followed me around and watched me grow.
I try to avoid you. You make all morn!
We are destined to come together this I know.
I will never forget the day we almost met.
My heart nearly leaped from my chest.
My body trembled. My mind went blank.
    My eyes watered.
I pushed you away from me now...
I know you are still close,
but you will not convince me to give in to you!
    I must get my way!
I will fight you as long as I can.
You will leave me alone for now!!! I AM!
You have invited many friends into your trap,
but I am too smart for any of your crap!
I will hide in the light from you.
And when I... I... I... say we shall meet
    then you may come.
I give you my body to lay in the dust, but for me...
I will live in the heavens where you will not be
I will live with those you have met in the past
and we will rejoice and for ever be happy.
