    Desperate Prayer

Heavenly father, you know the gifts I have.
You know the passion that burns, and you know the skills of my craft.
You feel the desires of my heart, and you've seen the struggles I bare.
And even when I felt like giving up, you told me to hang in there.
Now I'm ready, ready to take it forward.
Ready to fulfill my dreams, I just dont know the way Lord.
I'm scared of lonely, being broke with no direction.
I'm afraid of failure, dying with everyone elses discretion.
You've turned me into a strong human being.
You've blessed me with confidence to succeed.
And now I need your guidance, because I'm walking with a desperate plea.
Seeing the pain others have felt, but yet they've made success.
Seeing the scars of lifes roads, the less fortunate parts of your test.
I know the bridge I'll cross is often less traveled.
Mainly because of giving up, and kicking the rocks they saw.
But if i read your word correctly.
It says with faith failure can't withstand your law.
So I'm begging you, to give me another sign!
Show me that you will keep your promise!
Tell me to just calm down, relax, and chill with all this drama!
This personality, only you could have made.
This passion I have, only you could have gave!
The struggles thus far, only you could have prepared me for.
And the future opportunities I'll have, only you could have created those doors!
Then why can't I see results?
Why am I feeling so lost?
Why am I headed in such a direction, regardless of the cost?
Only one life I have, only one plan you have prepared.
And no matter where I go Lord, please promise me you'll always be there!
Show me that it's going to be ok.
Show me that the wait is over.
Show me that my life has meaning, and the pain I feel wont last much longer!
And as night falls once again, promise to be my guide.
Promise to direct my career, and promise to remain by my side.
I know you will keep your word, look at where you've brought me from!
The pain I once felt is gone, and the battle I've fought is already won.
With that in mind, my faith will remain strong.
My love for this craft will continue, and I'll passionately sing and write songs.
I know real soon, your promise will come true.
And I'll look back at this poem, and see how you brought me through.
I'll say thank you Lord, for always being there.
And thank you for the night, you answered my "Desperate Prayer."

I really like this bro-keep writing-this poem seems as if it could be a rap-gospel song.

It was very, very moving. I could really see your heart through it and it touched my heart.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
