Distant One who is admired

You who I admire so much

you who will not let your heart feel my touch

I want so badly for you to believe my words

Honestly it is you who has everything backwards

You who will not give in

You who I admire so much

Why do you stray from ones who desire you

the very words I write are written in value

sitting here at this desk pouring out my soul

winning your admiration is my only goal

how long will it take for my words to become true

it is mans nature to lie but this is truth I am telling you

distant one come closer hear my truth

or regret losing your admirer  until the end of your youth

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
