DON'T THINK YOU HAVE ME IN YOUR POCKET

    Don't think you have me
    in your pocket
    Just because
    I took off for you
    Like a rocket

    I took a detour
    on the way here
    I'm still hurt
    but now the path
    is clear

I can see a little of who you are
    Through these stars now afar
    And I know it's a distance
    But I'm sensing resistance

    Don't think you have me
    in your pocket
Just because I took off for you
    like a rocket

Why do you hide behind that star
Why do you give just a little
    It's such a riddle

You're free to be where you want to be
You're free to do what you want to do
But don't think you have me
    in your pocket
Just because I took off for you
    like a rocket

I can store my love away in my pocket
I can take off on you like a rocket
What planet will I land on
    I don't know
Maybe I will land on venous
If there is not enough love between us
Maybe I will travel all the ways to Mars
Maybe I'll drift away into the stars
    Maybe I will love again
    Maybe I won't
Maybe I will play the field
Even though my heart says don't
    But I know
    I won't
    forget you . . .
