Poem Commentary

I wrote this simple poem to post at my local library during Children's Reading Month.

Dreams of Wonder

Dreams of Wonder

By Pete Badame 2009

To read a book can be a joy

For each and every girl or boy,

To just relax beneath a tree

With open book can set you free.

Without a plane, a train or car,

You’ll visit places near and far.

You’ll sail the ocean, soar in space

And see the world, every place.

To read will open up your mind,

A wealth of beauty you will find.

And if you drift off into sleep,

Dreams of wonder you’ll surely keep.
