Dreams Unfulfilled
I'm sitting here alone in my room,
as I'm reminded that each day is passing.
Moment by moment
dreams go unfulfilled, secrets are untold,
destinies go unexplored, fantasies lie empty in my life.
I start to think of these as teardrops fall,
I hear the secrets waiting to be released,
scattered pieces of my life are buried deep,
wanting to be exposed.
Piercing thoughts I hold within,
are now eating at my soul.
It's time to let them go,
fate is in my hands.
But do I take these risks that are upon me,
possibly facing the hurts that come my way.
It's time to reveal my innermost desires,
to follow my dreams and unmask what's inside my soul.
My journey of tomorrow starts with today.
