    Encircle Me

Encircle me in the arms of Your Love
My Lord, how I need you this night
How much loss have I suffered, I begin to fall
Catch me before I hit the ground!

I plead with You, Lord, for I am troubled
Such pain and confusion, they hurt me so
I seem to be losing the light from Thy Face
Does the flame begin to die within me?

Nay, my child, but you have neglected me.
Long has it been since your prayers ascended to me.
As my parable of the Prodigal Son,
I wait for you, and will run to you
    When you seek for me.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
