    FAR AWAY FROM HOME

I left my family for better living
I want their life to be secured
Living in our country in despair
America was the hope for our future.

I'm lucky to work in a board and care
    I'm serving the elderly wholeheartedly
Caregiving job is not that easy
You must be caring and sincere.

As day pass by I feel the pain
The agony and misery of being away
Longing to touch and kiss my children
Bring me loneliness and makes me cry.

I have to be strong and determined
To pursue our goal and dream
I don't want my family to be distressed
To go back in poverty and helplessness.

I love my job as a caregiver
From this job I support my family
Although I'm  far away from them
Our hearts are intact and together.

I'm deaming that there will be progress
There will be freedom and real happiness
So  we won't be leaving our country
And there will be no broken family

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
