    First Impressions

At first glance I thought you was a silly dude. A careless and immature boy that would get my heart confused with a play toy.
I took a second look at you and saw something that wasn’t there before. Now I’m fighting a war
    Inside of me
    Because I’m confusing me.
I look at you and you’re not the way you used to be.
Every time I see your face my heart beats like it’s trying to win a race.
I don’t understand it! What’s wrong with me?
I need a first aid kit.
A band-aid for my mind, that’s clearly ill.
    Where’s my will?!
    Where’s my power?!
I was the one on top of the tower!

But when you come around I’m back on the ground.
Knees weakening at your sight, its something I can’t fight!

And when you a said you felt the same way too…it was just the beginning of my happiness!

Some said it was pure nonsense the way we were acting, but the thing about it, it wasn’t acting.

It was real affection and dedication to what we had.
We didn’t care if others got mad.

The more time I spent with you, the more
    I felt brand new.

You kissed me like you missed me, even if we’ve been only a few days apart.

When I say please me, you caress and tease me.

When I’m with you it’s like I’m reaching up to heaven.
I'm floating on cloud two plus seven!

When you hold me, there’s no place I rather be, but to stay in your arms forever and to continue this endeavor called life together.

My love… I hope we never part because you have my heart.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
