football

the rush, the thrill
thats what i feel
when i step on that turf
i feel like a part of the earth
solid, strong,a bolder a log
running trying to see through the fog
in a forest of helmets and pads
the quarterback is my goal im starting to get mad
i run faster seeing the end of the window
hurry up he is about to throw
Im furious i can see him
confodent, fast, knowing he will win
im right next to him he didnt throw the ball
he couldnt see i was to tall
wrap up helmet down
make him hurt, he hits the grownd
thats only one play
i run through that forest a hundred times a day

Dear huggybear, I really liked your poem, I think it is great for a person your age to get into poetry. I am 54 and just starting out. So you are way ahead of me keep up the good work. Linda
