    forehead punctuation

What thoughts does the comma separate?

    What dreams moved apart?

    His forehead broad and smooth

the tousled mane falls clear of the deep-set scar fashioned after a comma

how would a comma come to live beside a temple and an eye?

could it be the raucous five year old peddling his Christmas Schwinn

he does not see the low elm that tears into the tender forehead

    leaving behind a perfect comma?

could it be the indestructible teenager driving his Mustang with spurs embedded

rounds the 35 at 65, tumbling, tumbling, flying glass

ripping a perfect comma into the acned frontal lobe?

could it be a father mugged on the subway, struck on the brow

with a plaster statue of Jesus by a wild-eyed man promising the end of the world

laying open a perfect comma on his tired flesh?

    A forehead is an unusual

but intriguing place for a comma

I have quite the comma on my right cheek....it resides there due to your second conjecture...car wreck...the way you think is intriguing..nice work.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
